Washrooms Now iPod/iPhone Friendly Thanks To iCarta!

071508_tf_tpipod.jpg

Some people have televisions, radios and/or phones in bathrooms, but now through the magic of technology, you can have all three one in tiny device: the iCarta stereo dock with tissue holder! Listen to/watch/recharge your iPhone/iPod while you’re doing your business!

To tell the truth, it does look pretty slick.  It has moisture resistant speakers (a must!) and get this: the speakers are actually the arms that hold toilet tissue! I just wonder if having something like this in a public washroom is such a good idea. I mean how clean would it be if everyone “handled” it while dropping a deuce?

Anyways, don’t be surprised if you find it in the store washroom (I
m such a sucker for gadgets!)…. I’ll just keep a box of sanitary wipes onhand.

iRoy

New “Wii Sports Resort” Announced With “MotionPlus”!

wii-sports-resort.jpg

It’s funny how the simplest games become your favourite. I’ve purchased: “Super Smash: Brawl“, “Mario Kart Wii“, and “Zedla: The Twilight Princess“; yet the I still play all the time is: “Wii Sports“.

So when Nintendo announced a sequel, “Wii Sports Resort” due out Spring 2009, I was all over it! WSR will feature 3 games: Sword Play, Jet-Ski Power Cruising, and Disc Dog (a frisbee game)!

The game is going to come packaged with their new “MotionPlus” sensor- a small add-on that clicks onto the bottom of the WiiMote. Not sure if you’ve noticed this as well, but some wii games (yes, even my beloved “Wii Sports“) don’t pick-up all of the movement that you’d expect them to; for example, if you’ve played any amount of Wii Boxing, then you’ll know what I mean. But, the MotionPlus add-on promises a 1:1 movement support. So, no matter how quick you stab your opponent (in Sword Play) or how hard you throw that frisbee (Disc Dog), the MotionPlus will register that movement.

One thing to note: I don’t think the MotionPlus is backwards compatible, meaning MotionPlus won’t be supported by the Wii games that have already been released- which is fine by me, I still love bowling, baseball and tennis on “Wii Sports“!
