It’s back!
No, not a weird-claymation monster that battled Jason and the Argonauts, but the ultra-cool, fantastic, incredible, uncanny format that pits two players working as a team against two other players working as a team!
 Haven’t tried 2HG? The best time to play in this format is at a Pre-Release and just as luck would have it- we’re having two Pre-Releases and two 2HG events! 2HG starts at 10 AM on Saturday, September 26 and 10 AM on Sunday, September 27! Make sure you sign up early!
$50 per team to enter. Each team receives EIGHT packs of Zendikar and must make two decks of minimum 40 cards each.

It wasn’t that long ago whe Ben and Heath came by and asked me to setup HeroClix events again.
So much had changed since when we first hosted sanctioned HeroClix events- back then 200 point armies were the standard and “Firelord“-armies  were all the rage (Taxi!)! Now, the point totals had climbed to 300 and 400 point armies, unthinkable in the old days, but because all the newer characters were bigger and “better” the tournament scene had to comply.
Gotta say it’s been a lot of fun having HeroClix being played again- we got to do some amazing WizKids events like “Coming Of Galactus” (which Ben won!) and “Starro Attacks!” (which Shaun won!)! And I can’t wait until the new owners of HeroClix start up their tournament scene this Fall.
So, this is our farewell to Ben- one big HeroClix event using his favourite build: 400 Point Armies! Come one, come all- be here on Saturday, September 19 at 6 PM and say your goodbyes to a great HeroClix player, Ben Domingo!

Just got a call from my Sales Rep and more “Magic 2010” is on the way! If shipping goes well, we could have more by Wednesday, Sept 9; just in time for our draft! Woohoo!

How do you top “Magic 2010” and “From The Vault: Exiled“?
With “Planechase“, that’s how!
Our Launch Party starts at 6 PM and will be a Multiplayer – Sealed Deck event. Meaning we will be playing this event in groups of 3-5 players at the same table and we will be using the “Planechase” decks (obviously). Everyone playing in our “Planechase” event will receive one “Tazeem” Planar card! Yay!

There are 4 “Planechase” starters available: “Zombie Empire“, Strike Force“, “Metallic Dreams“, and “Elemental Thunder“! In each deck you get: one 60 card theme deck (with 8 rares!), one 10 card “Planar Deck” with which players may not look at or rearrange, and one 6-sided “Planar Dice“! The “Planar Dice” has 4 blank sides, 1 side with a “Chaos” symbol which looks like a sideways “S“, and a “Planeswalker” symbol which looks like a 5-pronged fork!
Whoever goes first flips over the top card of their “Planar Deck” and puts that card into the “Command Zone” (which is different and separate from the Battlefield- so then cards from players’ decks cannot destroy or otherwise affect Planar cards)! There are 2 abilities on each Planar Card: the ability that is listed first is essentially “always on” and then the ability that is listed second may trigger whenever a Planar Dice rolls a Chaos symbol. Keep in mind that the controller of a Planar Card is the player who’s turn it is.
