GREAT news for Warmachine and Hordes players!
Our community is expanding! With the closure of the War Room, Brian Sinn and his friends that play all things Privateer Press will be making the journey into St Albert every 2 weeks to play in a Year Long League! Sound daunting? Not at all!
The league will be run with several unique and special rules- all carefully crafted by Brian Sinn, Brian is most known for hosting “Battle Barn” events for both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40K! You’re probably asking yourself: “Will we be seeing future Battle Barn events here in St. Albert?” Right off the bat, Brian has stated that this league will take up quite a bit of his time, in the past we were only able to host and support month-long leagues, so hey you gotta hand it to him for undertaking such an incredible event.
Anyways, if you’re looking to play more Warmachine and Hordes! We have a full schedule of events all lined up for you!
*Year-Long League (YLL): Starts Sunday, January 8 at 1 PM with meetings every second Sunday thereafter (so the next meeting is Sunday, January 22 at 1 PM)
*Steamroller 6: Saturday, March 31 at 12 noon (see the side navigation)
*Longest Night Event Kit: Saturday, March 3 at 1 PM

YEAR-LONG LEAGUE:
1. Format:
*“Slow-Grow” we’re starting at 25 points for the first couple months and then adding 5 points to build every 2 months! So, January and February will be 25 point armies. Then in March, we will be hosting 30 point lists in the league, and so on. We will eventually hit 50 point lists in November and then run a “Play-Off” in December with parings based on your league standing
*League meetings will be on alternating Sundays (starting on Sunday, January 8 at 1 PM)
*League members are required to play at least 1 game per month (3 games if you want prizes!)
*League members may not play against the same player twice in a row
*If your warcaster/warlock dies, you must use a different warcaster/warlock in your next game
*All league games must use a Steamroller scenario (the new 2012 scenarios should be posted shortly on www.privateerpress.com)
2. Entry Fees:
*$10 per month per person
3. Prizes:
*Prizes Will be provided for the “winners” of the play-offs
*”there will be a special gift for each player which plays 3 or mores games each month”
Right now, I’m sure you’re wondering if you can switch factions or if you’re stuck using the same one throughout the league. These questions and more will be answered at our first meeting!
