Warhammer 40K: “Crusade” Postponed

What has the New Year brought us so far?

A very full January- so full, in fact, we’ve had to move one of our Warhammer 40K events.

Very sorry to announce that our Warhammer 40K: Crusade set for January 8, 2012 has been postponed until March 2012.

Why the change? Why move Crusade and not another event?

Quite simply:

1. January is when we have our “Dark Ascension” Prereleases for Magic. These events are pretty much carved in stone- we can’t move them.

2. Warmachine and Hordes have really picked up in the last couple of months. And with the exodus of the War Room, we’ve inherited another group of displaced players from Edmonton (Which is something I am very much looking forward to!). This group had already made plans for a Year-Long League (see side navigation) that we will be hosting as a venue. Now, I do not think one game is more important than another, but this is another case of an impending event that we are unable to chnage/move/delay.

3. Attendence for Warhammer 40K events has been more quiet- not dead. There were several new players at our demo last month (and new players have been making purchases almost on a weekly basis). My plan is not to abandon40K, far from it! Instead, we will run more casual meetings throughout our weeks depending on the schedules of the players involved.

If you’re a new 40K player looking to get a start on this incredible game, just drop by the store or send me an e-mail at [email protected] and we can setup a small meeting for you!

Regards,

Roy Kim
